Competitive Cricket with a Strong Social Side

At our club, we strike the perfect balance between competitive cricket and a fun, sociable atmosphere. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming team where success on the field is important, but the enjoyment of the game is just as crucial for both players and spectators alike. We believe that a great team spirit enhances our performances, and having fun together off the field only strengthens our bond.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of social events to bring our members, sponsors, supporters, and their friends together. From our pre-season drinks and canapés to lively barbecues, meals out in town, charity events, and the much anticipated end-of-season awards evening, there’s always something happening. Whether it’s a casual night out or a themed party, these events are all designed to ensure everyone has a great time.

While we aim for our social events to be fun, it’s an added bonus if they also support the club financially, helping us continue to grow and succeed. Most importantly, we’re about creating memories and fostering camaraderie both on and off the pitch.

Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

  • To provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can learn, develop, and engage with cricket, fostering both personal growth and a sense of belonging within the club.

Our Values

  • Respect: We treat all individuals equally, regardless of age, gender, or background, both on and off the field. This includes respecting umpires, officials, and fellow club members at all times.
  • Encouragement: From the youngest beginners to the most experienced players, we offer unwavering support to help everyone reach their full potential. We also value and support the efforts of volunteers who make our club possible.
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions both on and off the field, representing the club with integrity and acting as positive ambassadors within our community.
  • Community: Rooted in the local community since 2020, we are committed to including and engaging with those around us in everything we do, offering our time and resources to support the community whenever needed.
  • Teamwork: Collaboration and mutual support are at the core of our club. From the Committee to players, parents, and volunteers, we understand that our success is built on the strength of our collective efforts.
  • Success: We celebrate both our victories and our setbacks with humility. Whether we win or lose, we do so as one team, we are NCC.

In Memory of Jordan Smith

Jordan was a much loved character at both Newmarket Cricket Club and within the horse racing community. He had a real passion for cricket and horses showing real dedication to both pursuits. Unfortunately we lost Jordan in 2023, passing much too soon and he is someone we miss every day.
